Corrections, Removal & Privacy Requests
Last updated: 12 September 2026
This page explains how to request a correction, review, removal or privacy-related action concerning information on CreatorsProfiles.
Because CreatorsProfiles is a public creator identity platform, different requests may require different actions. Correcting a biography, removing a private detail, deleting an account and removing an independently sourced public creator profile are not necessarily the same process.
1. Choose the request that best matches your concern
2. Correction requests
You may request a correction where profile information is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, misleading or associated with the wrong creator.
Helpful correction requests should identify:
- the relevant CreatorsProfiles profile URL;
- the exact information you believe is wrong;
- what you believe the correct information should be;
- a reliable supporting source where available;
- your relationship to the creator or information, if relevant.
You do not necessarily need to claim a profile simply to report an error.
3. What we may do after a correction request
Depending on the evidence and the nature of the issue, CreatorsProfiles may:
- correct the information;
- update outdated information;
- add clarification or context;
- replace a weak source with a stronger source;
- remove information that should not have been published;
- temporarily hide a disputed field while it is reviewed;
- decline the request where reliable evidence supports the existing information.
4. Removal of specific information
You may request review of particular information rather than an entire profile.
This may be appropriate for:
- private residential or precise location information;
- private phone numbers or email addresses;
- sensitive personal information with little public relevance;
- images or content that may infringe rights;
- incorrect social accounts;
- information about minors that creates unnecessary safety risk;
- outdated or misleading information that cannot be corrected appropriately.
Where a narrower removal addresses the concern, CreatorsProfiles may prefer that approach over deleting the full profile.
5. Requests to remove an entire creator profile
CreatorsProfiles will consider good-faith requests to review an entire profile.
Factors may include:
- whether the person is publicly active as a creator;
- the nature and sensitivity of the information;
- privacy and safety concerns;
- the quality and reliability of public sources;
- whether the profile is misleading, duplicate or misidentified;
- the age and continued relevance of the information;
- applicable privacy or legal rights;
- the legitimate identity and discovery purpose of the profile.
A request does not automatically guarantee full removal. In some cases, correction, limitation or removal of particular fields may be more appropriate.
6. Account deletion is different from profile removal
A CreatorsProfiles account is the private account used to log in, claim or manage profile information.
A creator profile is a public information page and may contain information that was independently sourced from public references.
Where appropriate, profile management access may be removed while the public profile remains available in an unclaimed or editorially managed state.
7. Privacy requests
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by CreatorsProfiles.
These may include rights to request:
- access to personal information associated with your account;
- correction of inaccurate personal information;
- deletion of certain personal information;
- restriction or objection to certain processing;
- data portability where applicable;
- information about how your personal information is used.
These rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to legal exceptions.
8. Public information and privacy requests
Not every piece of public creator information is treated the same way as private account data.
CreatorsProfiles may process publicly available creator information for legitimate identity, editorial and discovery purposes, subject to applicable law and our privacy and editorial standards.
Where a privacy request relates to publicly sourced information, we will consider factors such as sensitivity, accuracy, public relevance, source reliability, safety and applicable legal rights.
9. Verification of the requester
Before making sensitive account, ownership, privacy or removal changes, CreatorsProfiles may need to confirm who is making the request.
We may ask for reasonable evidence such as:
- access to the registered account email;
- confirmation from an official creator account or website;
- proof of authority from a creator or organisation;
- other information reasonably necessary to prevent impersonation or fraudulent requests.
We should not request more sensitive information than reasonably necessary for the issue being reviewed.
10. Requests made by representatives
A manager, agent, lawyer, parent, guardian or other authorised representative may submit a request on behalf of another person where appropriate.
CreatorsProfiles may ask for evidence that the representative is authorised to act for the person concerned.
For minors or people who cannot reasonably manage their own request, additional care may be applied.
11. Ownership and impersonation concerns
If you believe a creator profile has been claimed or controlled by someone without authority, report the issue as an ownership or impersonation concern.
CreatorsProfiles may temporarily suspend profile editing or verification while ownership is reviewed.
We may ask competing claimants for evidence such as control of official social accounts, an official website, business email or direct creator confirmation.
12. Copyright and intellectual-property requests
If your request concerns copyright, trademark or another intellectual-property right, identify the specific material and explain your relationship to the rights holder.
Copyright or intellectual-property complaints may be handled separately from ordinary profile corrections because additional information may be required.
Please avoid submitting knowingly false infringement claims.
13. Requests involving minors
Requests involving children or minors are treated with additional care.
If information creates a meaningful privacy or safety risk, please identify the specific concern so it can be reviewed promptly.
A parent, guardian or other authorised adult may be asked to confirm their relationship where necessary.
14. Search engines, caches and AI systems
Public creator profiles may be indexed, cached, summarised or referenced by independent search engines, AI systems, web archives and other third parties.
If CreatorsProfiles corrects or removes information, those external services may take additional time to update.
CreatorsProfiles cannot directly control information that has already been cached, copied or indexed by an independent third party.
15. Information we may retain after a request
Even after account deletion, profile changes or removal of information, CreatorsProfiles may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for:
- security and fraud prevention;
- moderation and audit history;
- claim or ownership disputes;
- consent records;
- legal compliance;
- preventing repeated abuse or impersonation.
Retention should be proportionate to the purpose for which the records are kept.
16. Requests we may decline
CreatorsProfiles may decline or limit a request where appropriate and lawful, including where:
- the requester cannot demonstrate sufficient identity or authority;
- the request is fraudulent, abusive or intended to impersonate another person;
- the requested correction is contradicted by stronger evidence;
- the information is appropriately sourced, relevant and lawfully published;
- retention is reasonably necessary for security, disputes or legal obligations;
- the request is manifestly repetitive without new information.
Where possible, we may explain the reason for a decision or suggest a narrower alternative.
17. How to submit a request
Include the CreatorsProfiles profile URL or enough information for us to locate it.
Correction, information removal, profile removal, privacy request, account deletion, ownership issue or another relevant category.
Identify the exact information or action you want reviewed.
Where useful, include reliable public sources or evidence of your authority.
Use the Contact Us page or the dedicated request form when one becomes available.
18. What happens after you submit a request
CreatorsProfiles may review the request, relevant profile history, available sources and any evidence provided.
We may contact you if additional information is necessary.
Some straightforward corrections may be handled quickly, while ownership disputes, privacy issues, profile-removal requests and legal matters may require more careful review.
We do not promise a specific response time until formal support-service levels are published.
19. Good-faith requests
Please submit requests honestly and only for legitimate reasons.
Do not use the correction, removal or privacy process to impersonate another person, suppress accurate information through deception, harass a creator or repeatedly submit substantially identical requests without new evidence.
20. Changes to this policy
CreatorsProfiles may update this page as privacy processes, correction tools, account-deletion workflows or legal requirements evolve.
Material changes may be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
