About Dan McLean
Dan McLean is a Seattle-based sustainable fashion designer behind @danmclean, where she shares upcycled, thrifted and one-of-a-kind handmade creations. Since graduating from Seattle Central College's apparel design program in 2019, she has gone on to dress names such as Megan Rapinoe and Ezi Magbegor.
She works out of her SODO studio in Seattle, deconstructing thrifted garments and working with vintage and secondhand fabrics into new pieces. Alongside sustainable work, she is widely known for her bootleg designs which she refers to as fan art, original handmade pieces using repurposed fabrics that are not knock-offs. Since hosting her first runway show in July 2022, she has produced three more sold-out runway shows and was a featured artist at Bumbershoot 2023, with in-person shopping at Bon Voyage Vintage, Doll Parts and Curvy Cactus.
