About Adrian Landon Brooks
Adrian Landon Brooks is an Austin-based muralist working in contemporary folk art. His practice is centered on large-scale murals and architectural installations work that is made to shape buildings, underpasses and hospitality spaces through color and form, not simply decorate them.
He has built a modular visual language from folk motifs horses, faces, suns, moons, birds and geometric patterns that moves from small gouache studies on handmade paper to 100-foot concrete corridors. Recent public works in downtown Austin, including at Hotel Trinity, show how he folds subtle local references into that vocabulary while keeping the imagery abstract and graphic.
Based in Texas and available for travel, Brooks is known for documenting both the finished wall and the process behind it, presenting muralism as an architectural practice.
