Gardening with Phil

Phil is the regenerative gardener behind @gardeningwithphil, where he documents the ongoing transformation of his North Carolina backyard into a productive food garden.

Much of his content focuses on building healthier soil, growing vegetables efficiently and experimenting with different techniques, from soil blocking and vertical gardening to mulching, hand pollination and small-scale plant breeding. He regularly shares harvests alongside crop failures, pest problems and other setbacks, using both to explain what he is learning in the garden.

Phil also explores unusual crops, heirloom varieties and seed-saving projects while encouraging home gardeners to experiment rather than expect perfect results. Pollinators, beneficial wildlife and soil improvement are recurring parts of his regenerative approach.

Gardening with Phil combines practical instruction with real-time experimentation and an open look at both the successes and challenges of growing food at home.
